In our non-vegan product options we use beeswax. Our beeswax is sustainably sourced.

All our vegan products are formulated with candelilla wax instead of beeswax. Candelilla wax is a plant-based wax derived from the leaves of the small Candelilla shrub native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States.

We have chosen to use candelilla wax instead of carnauba wax. Environmental and social challenges have come to light in Carnauba wax extraction areas in northeast Brazil, including high rates of deforestation, degradation of local biodiversity, persistent drought, rapid expansion of invasive species, as well as poor working conditions and low pay.
